Hi Bree, thank you so much for welcoming us into your vibrant home, a true reflection of your creativity and a keen eye for detail. What inspired your design choices for your space?

My home is a reflection of the furnishings and decor I've collected over the years so it's ever evolving - when I see something I love I try and procure it in that moment rather than waiting for a moment to find a group of items at the one time to fit a look, I think this results in a bit of an eclectic style but also shows the colours patterns and shapes I'm drawn to.

After a long day at work, which room is your favourite place to relax in?

Both the bedroom and the living room are super cosy spots to relax - ill usually hang out in the living area with the boys and then spend some time in the bedroom to relax before sleep time.

Why is colour in the bedroom so important?

The bedroom is such a personal space - I think it’s important to add your favourite things - particularly colour as it directly affects how you feel when you’re in that room. Being able to be totally at home and unwind in your bedroom is essential - walking into your bedroom at the end of the day should provide you with some positive energy and colour has the power to do that.

What inspired you to leap into starting your own interior design business?

It happened quite organically, I was on maternity leave when a friend asked me to help them with their renovation, then another friend - and it snowballed from there. It’s been great to have the flexibility when I had young kids but you do work long hours to have that privilege.

Can you tell us why cushions are so important for a living room?

I feel like a living room is naked without a little decoration - cushions serve a purpose of adding materiality, colour, pattern - softness - and actually add to the comfort factor of your sofa.

What are your top three interior trends to watch out for this Spring-Summer Season?

1. Texture - rattan, boucle, fringing - anything that adds tactility to your space.

2. Coloured glassware - so perfect to add more personality to your dining table or soirée.

3. Yellow - from egg yolk to marigold and zesty lemon - it will be a hit this season.

What did you enjoy most about styling our new Spring-Summer collection throughout your home?

Kip&Co are just so brilliant at colour and pattern and creating a collection that you can combine in almost anyway - I loved experimenting with the colour and pattern combinations.

What are your entertaining non-negotiables for summer?

Jugs of ice cold mojito and pretty glasses to drink from.
