Established in 1948, Ernabella Arts is Australia’s oldest continuously running Indigenous Art Centre and one of the most artistically diverse in the country. Ernabella Arts and Kip&Co divide all profits from the collaboration equally, so 50% of profits will return to Ernabella Arts.

Mr Jack is a senior artist and the community pastor. He divides his time between his homeland, a place named Racecourse, and Ernabella. Mr Jack’s painting Ngayuku Ngura – My Country is of his father’s country. It’s a sacred place for men only near Mimili. The different colours and designs represent variations in the landscape. He is also depicting looking for bush tucker such as maku (witchetty grub).

Such a gorgeous cushion, love the Ernabella arts collab!! And love the mix and match the items.

I’m not sure what happened between the photos and the production, but this cushion is disappointing. The colours and texture of the thread are not as depicted in the promotional photos, and if you look closely at the first product image you’ll notice the difference. There’s a line down the bottom of the description that says product colours may vary from the photos—unfortunately that note and the first image were not on the product page of the shop I purchased it from. The cushion also arrived with a number of hitches and loose threads despite being vacuum sealed. It’s such a shame because I really want to support this collaboration, but the quality control really lets it down.
