Grab your apron, roll up your sleeves, and get ready as we bake our way into a Christmas filled with good treats, and maybe a few too many gingerbread crumbs.
Ingredients
3 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Pinch of salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Most would suggest that you mix the wet and dry ingredients separately and then combine but I rush everything!
1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Chill dough.
3. Roll and cut out shapes.
4. Bake for 8-10ish minutes at 170-180 degrees until the edges are lightly golden.
5. Cool and decorate.
Voila! Ta da! Christmas fun tick! Simple.
