When it comes to slow, sun-soaked living, Christina does summer the Byron Bay way. Think salty morning swims, soft linen sheets, coffee dates close to home and afternoons that drift effortlessly from beach play to backyard hangs. With family at the heart of it all, her days are guided by simple rituals, relaxed hosting and a love of colour that feels playful, earthy and lived-in.
We’ve teamed up with Christina to share her Ultimate Summer Guide — a celebration of undone tables, sandy feet, cuddle-filled mornings and those small, everyday moments that make summer feel endless. From relaxed hosting to home comforts and colour-drenched spaces, consider this your invitation to slow right down and soak up the season, Kip&Co style.

A perfect Byron summer day — from salty sunrise to golden-hour exhale, what does your ideal day look like? Where do you go, and how do you unwind once the sun dips?
My ideal day would begin with a workout and a swim. It'd then flow over to a coffee at either Woods or High Life, then a day of play with my husband and son - surfing and swimming until it's time for a burger at Top Shop, a banh mi at Byron Banh Mi, or salad at Tones. We'd come home salty and snoozey, cuddle up on the couch and watch Moana for the 100th time, or we'd have friends over for drinks and giggles.

Slow mornings are your signature — what does a summer morning look like for you at home? Think bedding, rituals, textures, or those small comforts that ease you into the day.
It always starts with the sound of padding feet in the hallway and then a little sloth creeping in for cuddles. We'll read books in bed in our soft linen sheets from Kip&Co whilst Tom makes me a coffee, and then I'll be pulled out of bed to make pancakes and play imaginary pokemon battles haha.

Summer hosting, Christina-style — when friends pop over, what does easy, naturally beautiful table styling look like for you? Any go-to dishes or local favourites you love to serve?
When friends pop over it’s very relaxed. I love a table that looks a bit undone: plates piled up, a bit of a mish-mash of crockery, food in the middle, kids weaving in and out. We’ll usually do something easy like a big salad, good bread, maybe burgers on the BBQ or a big pasta with extra cheeses and olives on the side. Cold drinks, lots of laughing, and everyone helping themselves. If it turns into one of those long afternoons that rolls into evening, even better.

Simple joys — What’s a small, everyday moment at home — something quiet or ordinary — that captures the essence of summer for you?
Coming home after the beach, getting an icey pole and reading a book on the trampoline with my son.

House of Colour — How does colour show up in your home? What colours or textures define the season for you? How do they shift the mood of your space?
Summer for me is about warm, happy tones mixed with soft textures: sun-faded blues, sandy neutrals, pops of colour and print that feel playful rather than perfect. I like our room to feel more relaxed and earthy, and I like our kitchen/dining to feel fun and engaging.
