We're so egg-cited to catch up with Jodi Flockhart from Sault, Daylesford! She’s sharing all her holiday plans, cherished traditions, and entertaining tips to help you make this Easter extra special. Whether it’s setting the perfect table, creating meaningful family moments, or adding those little touches that make the day extra special, Jodi's approach to hosting will have you soaking up all the Easter magic, minus the stress.

Hi Jodi, Thank you so much for letting us celebrate Easter at your beautiful property, Sault. As Easter approaches, we’d love to hear your tips for those hosting this year. What’s your hosting tip to make sure your Easter gathering is memorable and stress-free?

I have always loved preparing the surprises the night before, like my mum did for me, i think it adds to the magic of the day and we all need a little magic in our lives.

My daughter now also loves being part of this tradition as the night prior we bake and decorate the easter table.

What are your three go-to styling pieces when it comes to your Easter dining and tableware?

Always egg cups for the choccie egg gift and then the real egg to follow, I have an easter daisy bush at our back door and it always flowers the week leading up to easter so a big bunch of easter daisies now proudly placed in my strawberry vase from Kip&Co.

I love have a soft blue tablecloth, sways of flowers and mini eggs dotted amongst hot cross buns.

What’s your favorite way to add a pop of colour and texture to your Easter table setting?

My pops of colour are strawberries from the Sault farm in bowls and tiny yellow chickens the fluffy kind, always flowers and I love green moss in bowls to give a feel of a forest floor with easter eggs hidden in it.

How do you and your family like to spend the Easter long weekend in Daylesford together?

Always brekkie and a hunt together and the tradition is you wear the easter pjs from easter bunny to brekkie.

Are there any cherished traditions that bring everyone closer during this time?

My children love heading to the seaside to spend time with their cousins , it is a lovely tradition topped of with yes a chilly dip and more eggs and lots of laughter and golden sunsets which the kids head to the beach to watch together, I love these times as all the generations of the family spend time together.

For families with children, what are some of the meaningful activities or fun moments you cherish most during the Easter holiday period? How do you make this time special for your family?

We always talk about the real meaning of easter and celebrating new life and family. It is a time to be together, to be in the moment and to come together as a whole family.

We also have a tradition at Sault of having an easter hunt with our team and my children love hiding eggs for the kids that come to sault to celebrate with their families.
