At home with Dimity Sienkiewicz

At home with Dimity Sienkiewicz

Dimity Sienkiewicz aka @_dimity_ is quite seriously a glorious ray of sunshine in our lives - fitting then that her home is bathed in some good golden light. An absolute ESSENTIAL to follow if you're after natural and fun kid craft activities, cute kids, or a lover of sun-drenched interiors.   We LOVE you! Thank you for sharing so many beautiful craft ideas with us - we’ve been gobbling them up this year. I think my favourite was the flower ice eggs at easter. What’s been your favourite for 2020? The ice eggs were so fun- definitely was one...

Trash Talk - where do our offcuts go?

Trash Talk - where do our offcuts go?

Since 2019, we've been donating 100% of our cotton off cuts from our Indian supply chain to local community initiatives managed by Indian charity, Goonj. Goonj are AWESOME! They’ve been operating in India for over two decades, and re-use and recycle urban surplus (3500 tonnes of cotton offcuts a year!) to address core community issues like water, sanitation, health, livelihood, and education. Our cotton offcuts are used to create cotton pads, providing a clean, essential solution that has saved women from infections, and a loss of dignity. Other fabric offcuts are used to create products like backpacks and purses for...

New season Vacay Founders' Edit

New season Vacay Founders' Edit

We shot this range back in November 2019 - a time when the word Corona still only conjured up images of Mexican beers and we were all blissfully unaware of what was ahead. So understandably we have all been hanging to get a little piece of that 2019 glow into our loves! Here’s what we’ve been coveting from the new range.   Love Kate, Hays and Alex xx   Hayley's Edit   Passion linen is on my wish list this season! It’s so feminine and I love the subtlety in the colours, it means I can rock some statement...

Kip&Co x JUMBLED

Kip&Co x JUMBLED

We are SO thrilled to launch our Kip&Co x JUMBLED collaboration! A limited edition tableware edit, just in time for some summer entertaining, that features the MOST incredible, original floral artwork by the very talented Kezz Brett.   First, a quick intro to JUMBLED for anyone who has missed that bright happy rainbow memo. JUMBLED is, hands down, one of the best interiors stores in Australia (and has been with us since our VERY first range back in 2012) - but it’s SO much more than a shop. Driven by the pocket rocket powerhouse Pip, and her amazing team,...

Rental as anything : 5 ways to do a mini-makeover on your rental

Rental as anything : 5 ways to do a mini-makeover on your rental

  1. Start by decluttering. You don’t have to go all Marie Kondo, but a thorough cleanse of your belongings can be a beautiful therapeutic thing…and, it’s free!   2. Upgrade your lighting. Good lighting is probably the most transformative thing you can do in any house. There’s actually a lot you can do as a renter - simple things like getting better and brighter globes can do wonders, but consider switching out old lighting fixtures (make sure you keep them for when the rental period ends) with something fresh.   3. Wall to wall. Check first, but loads of...

Bravery Co x Kip&Co limited edition headscarf

IT’S HERE! October is Breast Cancer awareness month and we’re incredibly proud to collaborate with the awesome Emily from Bravery Co. Emily makes colourful head scarves that make you feel beautiful confident and powerful, especially if you’re riding the C Train. Basically, a total legend.   The collaboration scarf features your all time FAVOURITE Kip&Co print, field of dreams, and is modelled here by the ridiculously gorgeous  cancer warrior Shonel (@support.your.girls) who recently beat breast cancer 🙌🏻   In today's blog we chat with Emily about the collaboration, her battle with cancer and more!     Your incredible business...

Clothing the Gap

Clothing the Gap

We recently chatted with Clothing the Gap - one of our fave Aboriginal owned and led social enterprises. These guys make awesome apparel (we LOVE it!) and then use 100% of profits to fund independent and self-determining health promotion programs, while they advocate, educate, elevate and motivate people for social change. Get ready to get inspired.     Why did you start Clothing The Gap and what it is? Clothing The Gap is an Aboriginal owned and led social enterprise using fashion as a vehicle to make social change. A little-known fact is that before Clothing The Gap...

Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl

Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl

We didn’t think Nutra Organic's Lemon Lime Collagen Beauty could get any better, but this recipe really takes the cheesecake. Their Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl has all the flavour of our favourite cheesecake, without the dairy, bringing the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, with their zesty Lemon Lime Collagen Beauty, and a moreish lemon maple caramel. If you’re looking for a way to brighten even the dreariest of mornings, this bowl of sunshine is it.   Ingredients 2 frozen bananas 1 cup coconut yoghurt, plus extra for serving 1 tsp buckwheat kernels 1/2 lemon, juiced 1/2 tsp vanilla...

Kate’s interview with Australian Birth Stories

Kate’s interview with Australian Birth Stories

On the blog today we chat to Sophie Walker, host of the Australian Birth Stories podcast - an incredible library of people’s journey to motherhood. This week, Sophie released her interview with Kate, who speaks with incredible honesty, generosity and love about her birth stories. You describe your podcast of birth stories as a library, but it’s really so much more than that. It’s a growing generous community, that you can go to for unfiltered truths about birth (surprisingly a rarity in the world of pregnancy and babies!). What was the catalyst for starting this amazing resource?   Six...
